Mrs. Avatis’ sliding driveway gate stopped responding to open commands, remaining locked in place over the entrance. Neither remote nor local controls were working.
We looked at the operator mechanism and chain, and found no signs of hardware jams or breaks. The lights were all on, so it wasn’t a power issue either. We tried resetting the operator from factory settings, and when that sent the whole thing dead we replaced the motherboard. That turned out to be the solution!
